Membership
- Anyone can register – a registered person is a member.
- Anyone working in the creative industries can fill in additional information so that matches can be performed.
- This additional information includes:
- skill sets (allow for ‘present’ and ‘future’ skill sets)
- geographical regions
- work environments (e.g., gallery, theatre, etc.)
- access to technology (darkroom, graphics h/w & s/w, etc.)
- In addition, members can add text in two categories: experience and goals.
- Members can upload work sample files – JPEGs, and some AV files (size restrictions)
- Members must supply an email address, but may specify that the address is “hidden”
- Additional contact information – www address, phone, street address – can be “unlocked” when a member is invited into another member’s project.
- Members can maintain a contacts listing (their personalized subset of the nectar membership)
- Members can opt to accept project invitations only from members on their contact lists.
Projects
- Projects should have a name and a description
- Projects also need to belong to a single member
- Projects have requirements which match the member additional information –
- skill sets
- geographical regions
- work environments
- access to technology
- After a project is created the project leader can search for member matches, select particular members and send them an invite to join the project
